ECOM Ghana Subsidiaries Kiteko and Crop Doctor Win Big at Ghana Cocoa Awards

ECOM Ghana, a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company picked two awards at the maiden Ghana Cocoa Awards.

Two subsidiaries of the company,  Kiteko Ghana Ltd was adjudged the  Best Haulage Company of the year, while Sharp Power 4T a product of Crop Doctor Ghana Ltd won the  Agro Input-Farm Implement category award.

Mr. Sudhir Kumar, Business Head, Crop Doctor received the Sharp Power 4T award and the Kiteko Ghana Ltd award was received by its General Manager, Onyina Acheampong Akwasi Gyamfi.

Officials of the company expressed excitement on winning the awards and indicated that it will spur them on to work hard and attain more laurels in the future.

The company operates five subsidiaries including AgroEcom Ghana Limited; Crop Doctor Ghana Limited; KITEKO Ghana Limited; Sustainable Management Services and UNICOM Commodities Ghana Ltd.

Over 150,000 farmers are presently benefiting from the company’s entrepreneurship initiatives which are geared towards helping build rural prosperity. Ecom Ghana provides advisory services, training and support to farmers on productivity, quality, certification, crop diversification, environmental and other broader social issues.

The Ghana Cocoa Awards (GCA) is a recognition and celebration of the hard work and committed loyalty of these individuals and organisations accounting for Ghana’s premium export to the world.

It is an effort to reward and institutionalise an annual celebration of the contributions of stakeholders in the cocoa industry to national development.
