'57 is the pioneer bean to bar chocolate business in Ghana defined by creativity and authenticity. ‘57 Chocolate is short for 1957, the year of Ghana’s independence. This venture uses resources grown within the country to create delicious treats. '57 hones in on Ghana’s Independence Day spirit and challenges the status quo that premium chocolate can only be made in Europe.
At '57 we take dried cocoa beans and process them into luxurious chocolate and confections. Using our creative skills and imagination, we make products that are a reflection and celebration of Ghanaian art and culture.
‘57’s mission is to revive the 1957 “can-do spirit” by adding value to the cocoa bean and cocoa farmer— on a local scale. Our passion is to inspire the people of Ghana, especially the youth to not be satisfied at merely selling and trading the country’s natural resources or other items in their “natural” state, but to use their minds and creative geniuses to transform these resources by creating and manufacturing made in Ghana products of premium value.
'57 is about patriotism and empowering the youth to create something of their own. We aspire to bring manufacturing back to Ghana.

Our History
It began with the desire of an enterprising young marketer, to impact the agric sector positively and make farmers happy. His priority was for every farmer to be able to adopt and apply appropriate practices, to produce high results by using enhanced specialized products, meeting their specific needs.
Breakthrough Partnerships And Developments
The evidence, that the crop nutrition landscape needed more indigenous actors to offer support and confidence to our farmers, increased the drive for local and international partnerships. This aimed to develop innovative and specific enhanced efficiency fertilizers solutions to meet the needs of different farmers groups, in different zones, with different climate systems and different needs.
From The Marketer - To The Innovative Fertilizer Technologies Manufacturer
The company, which commenced as a promoter of different crop nutrition brands, later rebranded, positioned and established as a manufacturer, producing different innovative solutions to meet specific farmer needs.
AMG’s Controlled release fertilizer technology makes the company’s offerings even more innovative and efficient.
AMP Logistics (GH) LTD was incorporated and licenced in January 2015 and began its operational activities in March the same year.
The company’s primary business is the offering of integrated supply chain solutions to cocoa processing companies in and out the free zone enclave.
We deliver services in cocoa storage, handling, fumigation, weighing, Haulage, Bussing, Freight Forwarding and Cargo Clearing and a Modern Container Handling terminal services.

We work with some of Ghana’s best chocolate makers to produce our milk chocolate desirables. Our dark chocolate desirables start their journey when we select the healthiest cocoa pods from the farm, ferment and dry the beans to ensure your desirable dark chocolate meets Bioko’s incomparable standards.
Bioko’s chocolates are carefully and lovingly hand made in small batches, with the aim of bringing to our customers, desirable, affordable chocolates with an unmatchable personal touch.

Callighana Company Ltd is a subsidiary of Arysta LifeScience Corporation. Since 2003, the company has been involved in the importation and distribution of agrochemicals products, spraying and micro drip irrigation equipment as well as providing its valued partners with technical support and training on safe handling and use of agrochemicals.

Cargill has been sourcing cocoa from Ghana for over 40 years and in 2008 opened its state-of-the-art cocoa processing facility in Tema. Today the company has around 240 employees processing cocoa products to service food and confectionary customers locally and around the world. In 2016 Cargill added a Licensed Buying Company (LBC) to its Ghanaian footprint. The LBC operations bring innovative ways to trade with our farmers placing emphasis on our sustainability and traceability efforts.

2016 Cargill and CARE agree on the PROSPER project (Prosperous Communities) which is a school building program intended to address the educational gap in 250 communities in the Western North region in Ghana.
2014 Investment in the CORIP project (Cocoa Rehabilitation and Intensification program) with co-financing from the Dutch Government. $1.6 million was invested, including 25% from the Dutch Government, benefitting 12,000 farmers.
2013 Cargill renews partnership with CARE to support cocoa farmers in Ghana to increase incomes of farming families and improve primary education for over 12,500 children.
2012 Launch of The Cargill Cocoa Promise, a global commitment to improve the livelihoods of farmers and their communities and to secure a long-term supply of cocoa.
2010 Cargill announced a three-year $5 million commitment to support sustainable cocoa in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.
2008 Cargill officially opens its $100 million cocoa processing facility in Tema.

In Ghana, we are working with COCOBOD and Solidaridad to provide support and training to farmers to improve their livelihoods, encourage better farming standards and increase yields. Additionally, we are improving access to healthcare and education for local communities through our partnership with CARE, which enables more children to benefit from primary education and providing nutrition education to thousands of children and parents in cocoa-growing communities.

Soon after being certified for its first fertilizer license for Natural Organic Fertilizer, the company was founded in 2015 under joint venture between Ghanaian and South Korean partners.
With over 60 years of experience in agri-business in Asia, the Korean partner brings industry know-how, technical expertise and business network.
Chobi Ghana’s core business is the production and supply of agro-input(fertilizer and pesticides) to the agricultural sector of Ghana. Chobi Ghana Limited has over the last two years (2016/2017) successfully delivered orders of 10,000 MT of fertilizer to the Ghana Cocoa Board which have been on time and within budget and is currently working with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as a fertilizer supplier under the Planting for Food and Jobs Campaign (PFJ).
Chobi Ghana Ltd has obtained the necessary registration certificates and is licensed to trade the following products; NPK 15-15-15, NPK 23-10-5, Ammonium Sulphate, Urea, Natural Organic fertilizer and Aluminum Phosphide. Moving forward, Chobi Ghana plans to expand its product range to seeds, irrigation, crop protection, animal feed and mining chemicals.
Chobi Ghana Ltd.’s CSR approach is focused on educating and building the capacity of farmers. In 2017 alone Chobi trained 1,330 farmers across fourteen districts on good farming practices to enable them enhance their yields. By 2019, the number of farmers trained will exceed 8,000 and Chobi Ghana will continue to be a responsible corporate citizen by widening the program on a yearly basis.
