CERES DEMETER LTD (“CD”) was incorporated in 1998 in Ghana, one of the largest cocoa-producing countries in the world, known for its premium quality cocoa beans.
The company was established as an agro-based business with interests in growing and processing cashew nuts and rearing cattle, activities in which it still retains an interest.
In 2008 CD commenced production of NATURAL COCOA POWDER initially under the CERES NATURAL COCOA POWDER brand. In 2010 the product was renamed “GOLD COAST NATURAL COCOA POWDER.”
CD’s manufacturing premises are strategically situated at the edge of the cocoa production region, in close proximity to the site of the first commercial cashew plantation in Ghana, and between the two commercial seaports of Takoradi and Tema.
