Former Ghana President Kufuor Wins 2019 District Best Farmer
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has been awarded as the 2019 best farmer of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District in the Ashanti Region.
The former President who is into both livestock and crop production has several hectares of farms, mainly cocoa, and rears various livestock and was adjudged the best in the District at this year’s national farmers day.
For his prize he received farming implement, a certificate, among others.
Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo Addo has at the 35th Farmers Day celebration, on December 6, 2019, held at the Jubilee Park, Ho, in the Volta Region, appealed to Ghanaians to help boost agricultural production that will lead to self-sufficiency by patronizing the produce and products of Ghanaian farmers.
Prior to the Farmers Day award, President Kufuor had been received the Cocoa Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ghana Cocoa Awards 2019.
