The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) will hold this year’s annual partnership meeting event online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A statement confirming the decision ruled out the possibility of a physical meeting for the 2020 event scheduled for Bogota, Colombia, in November.
“After careful consideration of the international travel situation, WCF has decided to cancel the in-person Partnership Meeting scheduled on November 18-19 in Bogotá, Colombia. We are thrilled to share that we will instead be holding our first ever online Partnership Week, starting on November 16”, the WCF said.
The 2019 edition of the WCF annual partnership meeting was hosted by Berlin under the theme “Drivers Of Change”, and had about 300 c-level leaders across the global cocoa industry attending.
WCF is a global membership organisation for cocoa processors, chocolate manufacturers and other companies within the value chain.
