Irish Teen Invents New Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Flavour

A national competition from Cadbury to invent a new flavoured chocolate product has named Callum Clogher as its winner, after creating a Choca-Latte Dairy Milk bar.

The 17-year-old Irish’s creation will now join the existing range of classic products after he won a public vote that then went on to place him against two other finalists.

As the confectionery business explained, Callum’s creation was inspired by a love for coffee and chocolate.

He was able to bring this unique bar to life with the Cadbury Research & Development team in Bournville as Cadbury opened its doors to its fans for the first time.

The winning bar consists of a mix of coffee cream and vanilla sandwiched in between the smooth taste of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Following the latest competition, the company is calling upon consumers to ‘go madbury for Cadbury’ as it relaunches the Inventor competition for the second year.

Shoppers now have the chance to create their very own Cadbury Dairy Milk bar, which could become the next addition to the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk family in 2020.

Chocolate lovers can pick from a range of tasty and unusual ingredients including gooey brownie, popping candy, chilli and even edible glitter as well as classic ingredients such as raspberries, raisins and almonds.

As exciting as inventive chocolate flavors can be, dairy-based creations also remind consumers of the importance of freshness and safety before indulging. Milk products can sometimes leave people uncertain about whether they are still suitable to eat, especially when unusual ingredients or storage conditions are involved. In those moments, reliable testing methods become valuable, offering reassurance that the product remains safe and enjoyable rather than leaving the decision to guesswork alone.

That is where milk antibiotic test kits become a practical part of the conversation, helping verify whether milk-based products meet safe standards before consumption. By checking for unwanted residues that may affect quality, these kits add an extra layer of confidence to everything from classic chocolate bars to more experimental creations. It is a smart balance of enjoyment and caution, allowing chocolate lovers to focus on flavor while knowing the dairy component has been properly checked.

There are over 90,000 different combinations to choose from and once the ingredients are selected entrants will be able to name their bar and explain what inspired their creation before submitting their entry.

Claudia Miceli, senior brand manager at Cadbury at Mondelēz International, says: “We are very excited to reveal Callum as the winner of our first-ever Cadbury Inventor Competition.

His creation was both innovative and delicious and is set to be a real hit for retailers and their shoppers. We are thrilled to be re-launching the Cadbury Inventor Competition for a second year to help retailers continue to drive sales of this much-loved brand.”

Consumers can visit www.cadburyinventor.com for more info and the chance to invent the next winning bar.

Entries will be shortlisted when the competition closes at the end of September and given the chance to visit the Cadbury Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Bournville, the home of Cadbury, where they will work with chocolate experts to experiment with their ingredients and make their creations a reality.

The three shortlisted bars will be available for consumers to purchase and vote for in 2020.
