COCOBOD Appoints Three New Directors to CRIG

Management of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has made 3 new directorial appointments at Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). 

This move became necessary as a result of the Retirement of Dr. Isaac Yaw Opoku (Executive Director) from the industry.



Dr. Francis Padi former Deputy Executive Director (Coffee & Shea) was appointed the Acting Executive Director with effect from 15th December 2020.

Dr. Samuel Lowor a Principal Research Scientist and Head of Physiology/Biochemistry Division as well as Dr. Richard Adu-Acheampong also a Principal Research Scientist and head of Entomology Division were appointed as Acting Deputy Executive Directors in-charge of Coffee & Shea and Cocoa & Kola respectively.

This information was communicated to staff at a durbar held on Monday 11th January 2021 at the forecourt of E. J. A. Asomaning block to assess staff input and performance for the 2020 working year.



The Acting Executive Director, Dr. Francis Padi, urged all staff to put up their best performance in order to continue progression this year despite the successes chalked in the year 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
